Body mesotherapy

What is it?

Body mesotherapy

Body mesotherapy is a safe, easy treatment.

A mix of selected products is microinjected into the areas where you want to treat cellulite, stretch marks, scars or flaccidity. The substances work at an intradermal level to break down fat deposits. By activating your venous and lymphatic microcirculation, they speed up your metabolism and help remove excess liquid and toxins through your urine. In addition, they strengthen the skin's collagen and elastin structures.

Mesotherapy is one of the best ways of toning and stimulating the tissue and improving the look and feel of the skin without injections.

How does it work?

Mesotherapy is a technique that stimulates the skin in two different ways: physically and chemically

1

Physical (or mechanical) stimulation

The physical (or mechanical) stimulation consists of creating multiple microperforations in the skin—tiny channels that extend to the dermis. This controlled irritation stimulates the fibroblasts to reactivate collagen and elastin synthesis naturally. An natural accelerated cell regeneration is thus observed.
2

Creating microchannels

Creating microchannels helps the skin increase its absorption of the active ingredients (draining, lipolytic, anti-cellulite and regenerating agents) by more than 80%.

The effect of the stimulation differs with the depth of the microperforations.

1

superficial (between 0.25 mm and 0.5 mm)

we focus on radiance, hydration, dilated pores and stimulating skin elasticity. Post-treatment recovery is rapid.
2

deep (between 0.75 mm and 1.5 mm on the face and 2 mm on the body)

we are working directly on the dermis. The regenerative and skin firming action is more powerful, there is greater irritation and post-treatment recovery takes slightly longer.

What happens during the session?

Once the area to be treated has been cleansed and meticulously disinfected, a solution containing the concentrated active ingredients for your particular problem is applied. Next, your expert will choose the depth of the microperforations (between 0.25 mm and 2 mm) and will pass the device over the surface of the skin several times in different directions.

After the treatment, the skin will feel warm and look pink. There may be a few small spots of blood if you opt for the deep treatment. This treatment may feel uncomfortable, depending on the area(s) treated, but not painful.

A body mesotherapy session lasts about 20 to 30 minutes and we recommend a course of 5 to 10 treatments, one every 1 to 2 weeks.

What to expect after the session

After the session, you may experience redness and a slight swelling for 24 to 48 hours. There is no disruption to your social life. You are strongly advised to apply a suitable cream in the week following your treatment. Our keratotherapist will recommend one to you, such as the post-treatment regenerating cream by Doctor Babor.

We recommend you wait at least four hours before touching the treated area.

We also recommend you avoid the sun (or sunbed), any type of hair removal (wax, laser, etc.) or any exfoliation on the treated area for at least ten days after the session.

You should wait 48 hours before taking a bath or using a swimming pool, sauna or steam room.

Frequently asked questions

How many sessions do I need?

For optimal results, it is important to follow a course of 5 to 10 treatments at 1- or 2-week intervals, depending on your individual objectives.

What products do you use?

We work with the brand Mesoestetic, a Spanish laboratory whose products are renowned for their quality and effectiveness.

Does it hurt?

Depending on the depth of the microperforations in the treated area, the treatment may cause some degree of discomfort to some people. If you are sensitive, an anaesthetic skin cream (e.g. Emla) can be applied 40 minutes before the treatment.
