HOW DOES IT WORK?
Laser hair removal is a risk-free method that aims to stop hair from regrowing gradually and permanently.
Our device's laser beam passes through the different layers of skin to reach the hair root. It destroys the melanin (chromophore)—the pigment present in the hair. When the laser touches the hair, it turns to heat and burns the melanin in the hair bulb. This destroys the hair matrix.
The energy from our laser barely affects the surrounding tissue. In fact, when the head of the device is in contact with the skin, its temperature is -9°C. In addition, our Milesman laser spreads the energy evenly across the area, eliminating the "hot spots" and "pinching" produced by older technologies. This makes you much less sensitive to the treatment and gives a more even result.
WHO AND WHAT IS IT FOR?
This treatment is suitable for anyone who wants to permanently remove body hair.
It is particularly well suited to people with phototype I to VI skin and dark hairs. If you have dark skin, you are advised to do a skin test before starting the treatment.

THE HAIR CYCLE:
The hair cycle plays a vital role in the treatment’s effectiveness. The laser is most effective during the hair’s growth (anagen) phase because that is when the root has the highest concentration of melanin. This melanin is key to a successful treatment as it absorbs the energy from the laser, which is instantly converted into heat and kills the hair.
Hairs all follow the same life cycle but independently from each other. You cannot tell in advance what phase of the life cycle a hair is in. It is also important to note that the hairs on different parts of the body have different life cycle durations: the hairs on the upper lip have a 5-month lifespan while the hairs on the legs have about an 18-to-24-month lifespan. Age and gender also affect the hair cycle duration. It’s all a question of hormones.
